"Dell engaged in bait and switch advertising with respect to no interest financing promotions, misled consumers to believe they had qualified for promotional financing, failed to adequately disclose the terms of its next day service contracts and failed to provide consumers with warranty service and promised rebates." Acquired PEROT SYSTEMS CORP (N:PER) November 3, 2009 for $3.9 billion, $30 per share. SEC dating to 2006 resolved July 22, 2010, as Dell paid $100 million to settle SEC case and CEO Michael Dell agreed to a $4 million civil penalty. Offered $30 to acquire 3PAR INC (N:PAR) August 27, 2010, to outbid HEWLETT PACKARD.
